Applied Process University (AP University) is a two-day, non-commercial, invitation-only formal training program that is hosted and executed by the Applied Process family of companies.
AP University trains attendees in the design and manufacture of Austempered Ductile Iron and Austempered Steel components.
Who Should Attend?
While this program is meant primarily for design engineers, others have also attended and benefited. Technical personnel from foundries and machine shops, as well as individuals involved in purchasing and other roles should apply.
To date we have attracted 300 engineers and the next session is filling up quickly.
Training consists of 2 days of classroom instruction from experienced and qualified instructors (link to bios section at bottom of page), several of whom have taught at the college level. It also includes two plant tours.
The first tour takes students through the original Applied Process plant in Livonia, MI.
The second tour takes place at the Joyworks Studio in Ann Arbor, MI, where students will watch actual ductile iron production.
There is no fee for AP University. AP covers all training and labs and meals.
Attendees are responsible only for costs associated with travel and lodging.
