AP Southridge was incorporated in 1998, utilizing a
newly constructed 36,000-sq. ft. facility. Serving
the South and Southeast, the plant is conveniently
located in Elizabethtown, KY at I-65 and the
Kentucky Parkways.
Building on technology and experience from its
sister companies, the Elizabethtown facility
utilizes leading edge, controlled atmosphere-to-salt
technology with a fully data-based process control
system. This allows for the austempering of steel,
gray and ductile irons, as well as the
Carbo-austempering™ of steel. AP Southridge Inc. was
designed specifically for the atmosphere-to-salt
batch austempering process and the plant layout
minimizes work movement and maximizes efficiency.
Current Capacity: Integral Quench Batch Austemper
furnaces with capacities up to 6,000lbs and a
maximum load size of 36”W x 72”L x 36”H (914mm W x
1829mm L x 914mm H)

metallurgical laboratory for physical testing and
process analysis. With 24-hour, seven-day operations
